Assemblywoman Stanfield and Assemblyman Peters delivering food donations and a third Mobile MVC Unit

Updated: Oct 20

BERLIN – Assemblywoman Jean Stanfield and Assemblyman Ryan Peters are once again bringing a Motor Vehicle Commission Mobile Unit to their 8th District residents. This time, they are also bringing food donations to fill the pantry at Oaks Integrated Care.

“As there is still a need for MVC assistance, Oaks Integrated Care has graciously offered to host the event. Throughout this process, it was brought to our attention that the food pantry at Oaks is currently doing a Thanksgiving food drive. What better way to pay it forward then by assisting in their efforts?” Stanfield said.

On Friday, October 22nd, the Mobile MVC Unit will be at Oaks Integrated Care on 128 Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Berlin from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents must make an appointment to be serviced.

“We are extremely grateful to Assemblyman Peters and Assemblywoman Stanfield for bringing the MVC Mobile Unit to our Berlin location and hosting a food drive for the pantry. The initiative benefits our consumers, employees and the local community, so we’re excited for the partnership opportunity,” said Oaks Integrated Care CEO Derry Holland.

Stanfield and Peters held two previous MVC events, helping more than 100 people obtain licenses, registrations, handicapped placards and more.

“We wanted to bring the Mobile Unit to Berlin to reach as many constituents of our district as possible. We were glad to partner with Oaks Integrated to forward their fantastic mission of helping people with mental health, addiction and developmental disability services,” Peters said.

Donations for the food pantry will be accepted at the District Office, 668 Main Street in Lumberton, until Thursday, October 21st. Donations can also be brought directly to the event on Friday, October 22nd.
